Steps taken - Uninstall, delete all temporary files, log off, log on, install from the EXE given when purchased, log off, log on, apply skins!
Hi there, I only just purchased WindowBlinds 5.5 from the official site as a standalone program, since I didn't really need the other programs the Object Desktop suite had to offer. The program installed absolutely fine from the installer .EXE they provided me with my reciept in the e-mail. Registered it there and then from the activation dialog that came up upon installation. Everything still looked like it was going to work as expected. I then promptly rebooted after recieving confirmation that the program was successfully installed and ready to when the system is restarted. So, I boot back into Windows and start exploring Windowblinds 5.5 Enhanced. I apply a skin in the "already there" library, and waited for the logo to disappear after the screen went blurry with the skin's logo in the center. First, it just quickly cut out the blur and the logo after about two seconds. Got a little worried, but the blur and the logo quickly came back up again. I readied myself to see the new skinned interface that 5.5 promised, but instead of the nice gleaming gel skin I was applying, I got the same, annoying Windows Classic interface. So, I looked at the forums, saw that most people had some decent success with reinstalling from StarDock Central. Installed that fine, uninstalled Windowblinds, registered my serial on SDC for WindowBlinds. Rebooted as ordered by the uninstallation to remove some files that were in use. That went fine. Installed from SDC, no problem. Was even easier than the installer that I was given, and it automatically registered with the server. STILL no skins! I would be seriously grateful if anyone could help me out with this problem. Here are my system stats, copied straight from the program.
